The Horse Within Two-Part Workshop

Personal Growth for People through Activities that Incorporate Horses

This two-part workshop offers an opportunity for people to connect with mind, body, spirit and nature. It is ideal for adults, adolescents, couples, and families who desire to gain self-knowledge and better understand themselves through interactive techniques that incorporate equine images and experiential activities with live horses.

Part 1 THE HORSE WITHIN: Self-Discovery through Equine Images
In Part 1 of this workshop equine images will be explored through a variety of media including video, slides, photography, and music. The influence of animals and nature will be discussed in relation to universal and archetypal experiences. Participants will be encouraged to access and talk about the elements that personally resonate with their life story as it pertains to past, present, or future issues in their lives.
 
Part 2 THE HORSE WITHIN: Self-Discovery through a Relationship with Horses
In Part 2 of this workshop participants will engage in un-mounted activities with live horses that encourage new levels of awareness about themselves and their relationships. Activities will challenge old assumptions and beliefs, raise consciousness and self-awareness, and foster the discovery of personal and archetypal life themes.
 

NO HORSE EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. Horsemanship is not emphasized. All activities are un-mounted. Those unfamiliar with, afraid of, or inspired by horses are encouraged to attend. Participants should wear long pants, close-toed shoes, and sunscreen. Please bring bottled water as needed.

Part 2 - 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Directions - From 95 or the FL Turnpike, exit at Southern Boulevard and go west. Cross Route 441/State Road 7. The third light after 441/7 is marked Royal Palm Beach Blvd. Turn left at this light and you will be on Little Ranches Trail, entering the community called "Little Ranches." When Little Ranches Trail ends, turn left on Acme Road. Turn right on Cindy Drive. Proceed to #948 Cindy Drive, Turning Point Therapy.

Boca Riding Country Club
15565 US Highway 441, Delray Beach FL 33446

Directions - From 95 or the FL Turnpike exit at Atlantic Avenue and go west. At Route 441/State Road 7 turn left (south) and go approximately 1/2 mile to Boca Riding Country Club on the right (southbound) side of the road. If coming north on 441/7 you will see BRCC on the left, continue north to the first left turn lane where you can turn around and head back south on 441/7. Pull up to the gates which will open automatically.

Last Dance Ranch

 Directions - From the center of Okeechobee go west on route 70. Turn right (north) on route 98/718/700. Travel approximately 16 miles and then turn left on 144th Trail. Go approximately 5 miles. Just after the road turns from pavement to dirt take the first dirt driveway on the left into Last Dance Ranch. Follow the black fence line and turn left into the gate at the end. Drive past the stables and main house all the way through the trees to the back of the property.
