Equine Assisted Psychotherapy

The Trail Less Traveled

EAGALA Approved Provider
Professional Development Workshop

Presented by

Lisa Baugh, LMFT & Joseph Lancia, DO

This workshop will focus on the conscious and unconscious dynamics of facilitators of EAP and EAL. Through a depth psychological lens, participants will learn important aspects of the treatment team relationship including idealization, devaluation, and power imbalances. The signs and clues of projection and over-interpretation in EAP and EAL will be explored and self-examination processes offered to help facilitators avoid pitfalls.

Concepts will be supported in a fun and interactive way using arena activities with horses. These will integrate and reinforce the material presented so that participants will better understand the significance of their own conscious and unconscious dynamics when facilitating EAP and EAL with clients.
